Day 1 - Galway

The wild and wonderful west of Ireland offers a rich experience to any visitor. Set between the Atlantic Ocean, 12 Ben mountains and preserved boglands lies Clifden on the coast of Connemara. Here you will find Dan O'Hara's  Heritage & History Centre which offers a unique insight into life in Connemara before the famine. Continue on to the world famous Kylemore Abbey & Garden with its Neo Gothic Church and Victorian Walled Garden.

Complete the day by driving onto Westport Heritage  Town which is situated on the shores of Clew Bay and in the shadow  of Croagh Patrick. Westport House offers a glimpse of aristocratic life and was built on the ruins of one of the Castle 's legendary Pirate Queen Grace O'Malley. The Pirate Adventure Park is located on surrounding ground offering family fun.

Day 2 - The Burren

From Westport head to Castlebar where just outside of Mayo capital you will find the National Museum of Country life which is home to the national collection of objects representing the traditional way of life in Ireland since 1850. Continue inland to Co. Roscommon where you find 2 wonderful visitor experience: Lough Key Forest & Activity Park,  350 hectare estate containing  trails, walks, and family fun; and Arigna Mining experience where coal mining was carried out for 400 years until the last mine closed in 1990.

Day 3 - Mayo

From Arigna head south to the town of Strokestown and visit Strokestown House, an 18th century Palladian mansion unique in that it retains all its own furniture. Strokestown House is home to the Famine Museum, regarded as the single best private archive on the Great Irish Famine in the world .
