Day 1
Welcome to Ireland's sunny South East where a warm friendly welcome awaits all visitors! Enjoy beautiful County Wexford and visit Garrylough Mill in Enniscorthy, a unique restaurant and Mill Museum. Continue south to Hook Head, an unspoilt scenic historic peninsula rich in culture and traditional. Here you will find Hook Lighthouse, one of the oldest operational lighthoouse offers guided tours of the lighthouse tower, a 13th Century Norman Structure, built by the Earl of Pembroke as part of the development of his Lordship of Leinster, purpose built as a lighthouse 800 years ago and still fully operational today!
Day 2
Drive to New Ross and visit Dunbrody Emigrant Ship a 19th century three- masted sailing ship that brought many Irish across the Atlantic Ocean to North America during and after the Famine. While in New Ross visit the Ros Tapestry and its fifteen strikingly embroidered panels. The Ros Tapestry depict events around the Anglo-Norman arrival to South East of Ireland, specifically the founding of New Ross town itself.
Continue on to Waterford - the home of the world's finest crystal. A visit to the house of Waterford Crystal in the heart of Waterford provides a truly fantastic day out. The nearby Edmund Rice Heritage Centre is place of spiritual and historical significance and is the final resting place of blessed Edmund Rice, founder of the Christian Brothers. Head for medieval city Kilkenny via attractive villages of Thomastown and Inistioge and 12th Century Jerpoint Abbey.
Day 3
Just outside Kilkenny is Castlecomer, where you will find Castlecomer Discovery Park and its remarkable 'Footprints in Coal' Exhibition, telling the story of 300 years of coal mining. Continue into county Tipperary and the Brú Ború cultural centre which can be found at the foot of the magnificent Rock of Cashel. Brú Ború is home to the study and celebration of Irish music, song, dance, theatre and Celtic studies.
From Cashel continue south to the beautiful heritage town of Lismore where at its heritage centre visitors will come face to face with the historic figures who shaped the are. The charming town of Lismore, with its fine ducal Castle overlooks the Blackwater River.
