The National Wax Museum Plus is an exciting interactive visitor attraction located in the heart of Dublin's city centre Temple Bar district and just off Dame Street. The museum is housed over four floors and 13,000 square feet in a historic Foster Place landmark building, previously the home for Ireland's gold store and arms at the turn of the last century! The museum is an outstandingly original visitor attraction and has been designed to deliver an interactive experience taking you on a journey through Irish cultural heritage, an enchanting children's zone of discovery, Ireland's only dedicated tribute to our top scientific inventors, a green screen video room, a fully functioning recording studio and all the exceptional life like wax work characters you can expect at the national wax museum.

The Wax Factor studio offer visitors a completely new interactive fun experience. Not for the camera shy or quiet persona! The green room allows you to superimpose yourself onto an array of backgrounds join the cast of a video and just sing and dance along to your favourite tune. Time Vaults
The Time Vaults of history offers the visitor the opportunity to explore the various stages of Irish history through a wonderful experience of sight and sound. This passage of time through the magnificently original old armoury vaults which formerly housed Ireland's gold and armour offer the visitor a truly unique look at Irish life in a very distinctive setting.
Tourists and Irish visitors alike can get up close and personal with Setanta & wolfhound, view a Viking monk slaying, capture a glimpse of famine life, view a real 1916 gun, and meet the political figures who secured peace in Ireland.
Irish Hereos of Discovery
The Science and invention wing of the museum pays homage to the dedicated Irish inventors, designers and scientists. Many of whom you may or may not
have heard of.
Interactive and touch screen technology helps bring this room to life, with real experiments and figures to examine and touch, the visitor can truly understand and appreciate the work of the many men and women who invented items which we still use to this day.
Romance with Myths, Legends and Irish Heroes
The National Wax Museum Plus is the place for love and Romance over the midterm break and just in time for Valentines Day!

The National Wax Museum Plus will come to life during the midterm break later this month with Love and Romance being the running theme throughout the attraction.
Irish Literary Greats and the women who were the inspiration for their works, the likes of William Butler Yeats and his devotion to unattainable Maude Gonne will be celebrated with reading from the beautiful poetry he wrote for her.
The theme of love and romance will continue through the Time Vaults of Irish History and Mythology with love scenes being acted out by the attractions in house performers, these scenes will feature Niamh from Tir na Noge and her true love Oisin, Norman leader Strong Bow and his wife Aoife and the condemned 1916 Irish revolutionary Joseph Plunkett and his distraught bride to be Grace Gifford.
The museum will also welcome a very special couple this Valentines day, the one and only Romeo and Juliet who will be at the front of the museum to greet visitors with Romeo look up longingly at his true love as she lingers on the Balcony of the Armoury Building which houses the National Wax Museum.
The National Wax Museum Plus invites everyone young and old to come along from Sat 11th of February to Sun 19th of February to see What the Plus is all about this Midterm and Valentines Day with love, romance, Irish history and cultural heritage being the highlight of the visit.

Children's Fantasy World

This children’s fantasy world really is focused entirely on children’s imagination and their innate curiosity, with plenty of colour and wax figures on display, and pillars painted like cake and sweets, children really will feel like they’ve walked into a dream world. Children can explore a tunnel of four worlds and meet the Simpsons and Harry Potter or chill out on the padded floor to watch a movie or puppet show.
