The Kilbeggan Distillery is the oldest distillery in world dating back to 1757 and home of Kilbeggan Irish Whiskey. The Kilbeggan Experience offers a unique opportunity to see a fully operational traditional Irish pot still whiskey distillery, while enjoying a historical tour of the old distillery which includes the waterwheel and original distillery machinery.
The old distillery has been maintained as a museum just as it was during John Locke's ownership in the 19th Century. The current distillery contains the oldest working pot still in the world and has a cooperage on show for all visitors. With guided tours and the opportunity to explore at your own leisure, each tour ends with a complimentary sample of the award-winning Kilbeggan Irish Whiskey.

Visit one of the oldest pot stills
The two sources of power, the steam engine and the water wheel are always of great interest. The tour is complemented by the tales and stories gathered from the workers from the distillery. The Pantry Restaurant is the ideal place to stop and enjoy some home-cooked Irish food! Whether you are in the mood for tea and a scone, a hearty cooked Irish breakfast or a satisfying lunch, you will not be disappointed! The Pantry Restaurant combines tasty food, value for money and excellent service. The Pantry Restaurant also has a private dining room which seats up to 60 people.
The Restaurant is open 7 days a week: Monday – Wednesday: 09.00 to 18.00 Thursday – Sunday:09.00 to 20.00. Groups are especially welcome and group menus are available on request.Book now for Sunday lunch, complete with roaring open fire!
