Ireland's Premier Showcave is an experience which should be part of everyone’s visit to the Burren. Aillwee Cave welcomes you to its underground surprises. Expert guides will accompany you during your tour through beautiful caverns, over bridged chasms, under weird formations and alongside the thunderous waterfall. Marvel at the frozen waterfall and explore the hibernation chambers of long-extinct brown bears. Explore Europe's largest rock garden - follow the trail up Aillwee Mountain and discover the ecological wealth and diversity that the Burren has to offer. Walk through the Hazel Wood, a working wood where the hazel trees are managed by a technique know as coppicing. At the Farm Shop, watch the award winning Burren Gold Cheese being made. The Burren Birds of Prey & Educational Centre set against the most stunning backdrops the Burren can offer and home to one of the largest and most varied collection of Birds of Prey in Ireland. The centre houses Birds of Prey that can't be seen anywhere else in the country. Open-fronted aviaries offer an opportunity to see the magnificent birds up close and personal.

Hawk Walks at the Burren Birds of Prey Centre, Aillwee Cave, Ballyvaughan, Co. Clare

For a truly unique experience book at Hawk Walk at the Burren Birds of Prey Centre. During your Hawk Walk, you will learn how to handle and fly one of the centre's Harris Hawks, a species renowned for its easy-going temperament and unusually sociable nature. Your instructor will introduce you to your own hawk and, within minutes, you will set off around the magnificent Burren landscape to fly it. This is a unique opportunity to interact with one of natures top predators.
